We are proud to have repatriated to Canada, and preserved intact, what is probably the finest collection of memorabilia belonging to a Canadian Boer War soldier in Canada, just as it was on the verge of being sold off, piece meal, to collectors around the world. This was also due to the generosity of public minded Americans.

Thanks to the generosity of Linda & Al Hutchins, of Wibaux, Montana, the Canadian Boer War Museum has added the battered bayonet (left), some pictures of our Canadian trooper Otto Moody (above), and numerous letters relating to his period of service, to the collection that documents his campaigning with the 2nd Canadian Mounted Rifles in South Africa, during 1902.
